Requirements for Natural Stone in the Bathroom
In the bathroom, resistance to constant moisture and contact with care and cleaning products matters most. For floor areas and showers, we additionally recommend a honed or textured, slip-resistant surface rather than a high-gloss polish. Low-porosity stones such as granite or quartzite are particularly low-maintenance, while marble and onyx impress mainly with their unique veining.

Frequently Asked Questions About Natural Stone in the Bathroom
Granite and quartzite are particularly low-porosity and low-maintenance. Marble, onyx, travertine and limestone impress mainly visually and, with regular sealing, are also very well suited for the bathroom and washbasin.
Polished stone can become slippery when wet. For floors and showers, we therefore recommend a honed or lightly textured, slip-resistant surface – we're happy to advise you on the right choice.
